Any Mulege-area plant nurseries, landscape design, etc?

Bit of a longshot for a town that small, just thought I'd check as we'll be there in January.

My S.O. works in the horticulture/nursery industry and also has a small container garden design business herself. Typically when we travel she likes to check out what's going on in that area - partly just to see how others are doing it and partly because you never what kind of connections/opportunities might arise...

Any businesses of the sort in Mulege or is it strictly a DIY approach there?

do not know of one in Mulege proper but there is one on the south side of Sta. Rosalia and a couple in Loreto... Usually folks come by in pickups selling plants, etc... or someone comes in with a kiosk under the bridge for a few days... Maybe someone else knows more...

Yeah, that's about what I expected. Few years ago when we were in the Yucatan that was pretty much how they rolled plant-wise, even the large botanical garden there was fairly wild and run-down (though close encounters with spider monkeys and a peccary made it memorable).

Still if anyone's got other details feel free to share...

Yup...there was a couple named Steve & Alma who ran a nursery under the bridge, but that was a long time ago. I know from experience that most folks who have nice trees, shrubs, flowers, etc will gladly sell (or give away) their plantings. Good luck in your search.

p.s. Here's a beauty that an amigo gave me a while back. Whopper radish?
