I realize it's not in your area but Russ who owns the tackle shop in Bahia Tortugas is a pro at reel & rod repairs and rebuilds. Juan sends all his stuff to him. You can actually send it to him on the bus...let me know if you want his info...cheers!

Chuckie, we are in San Bruno. Rigo Ojeda is a good friend of mine and I suggested that he learn to repair reels, repair rods, rebuild rods, and supply fishing tackle to local fishermen. He has done a great job on that and business is doing very well. WE stock a lot of everyday parts, a large supply of bearings and drags. Reels come in from Asuncion, Abreojos, La Bocana, as well as all our local guys. I have posted pictures of several of the rods he has built and there is now a waiting period to get a rod built.

I am in San Diego right now but will be back in San Bruno on Monday or you can talk to Rigo directly.

I have also been known to pick up reels and rods from guys who bring them over to Scotty's El Candil and then return them a few nights later.
