Looks like we will be crossing northbound about 5:00pm on Monday, Feb 17th. This is President's Day. I think most schools just take the entire week
off so I'm not sure if this is a real bad 3-day weekend or not. Anyone have experience here?

in 2010 we tried the same thing but got there around 7pm. it was brutal.... luckily, the previous 4 days made it a little better than it could have
been.

Our school does not take the entire week off.............Just don't cross back on that Monday if you can help it as it is a three day weekend for

It's a three-day weekend. Schools take the week break in March around here. It's gonna hurt (though maybe they'll get it together and have more lanes
open by then). Check the apps before you cross; it may be worthwhile to use Otay instead.
Also, because you have time between now and then, get your passport cards if you don't already. Ready Lanes are much faster; access them at San Y by
going up the Vía Rápida and following signs. For Otay Mesa, from Blvd. Industrial, keep going past the usual turnoff and turn right on Vía de la
Juventud (toward the airport), then veer off right at El Negro Durazo and then keep left.
