The above shows a mile long lagoon on the north third of the east side of Angel de la Guarda. If the image date and time is correct from GE and the
historical data from CESIS is correct, then this was taken just after low tide (May 28, 2004 @ 4:00pm) a few days after the quarter moon.
Obviously, at full and new moons, the tides would be more extreem and at high tide this lagoon should fill.
Even at this level, an aluminum boat that draws about 12" of water should be able to get in and poke around.
Has anyone been to this lagoon recently - after all, the image is over 9 years old.
My very limited experience is that lagoons of this size are permanent fixtures but the opening can change quite a bit.

Graham hiked over to that side of the island in the narrowest center part... Maybe he saw it... I will need to review his book 'Marooned with very
little Beer'... or maybe he will see this thread?

Isn't that DK's Toyota up there at the north end of the lagoon in all of that green stuff???
