Pet Safety- very good stuff

captain4tuna - 12-30-2013 at 06:06 PM

Hola Nomads.....A real good friend of mine asked me to post this for him....Please note that the site's under construction.....Please e-mail them directly.....BTW...we have one and we love it...

Chances are if you travel with your pet, your location changes frequently leaving your pet's identification tag a bit useless if it has your home number, address, or you are out of range for phone service. This leaves your pet virtually invisible and definitely lost if he/she gets free from you, scared and runs, off the chain, runs after a squirrel, etc. When your pet is found, most likely they will not be able to get a hold of you. TravelTags give your pet a voice with their simple collar wraparound and easy interchangeable information pocket, TravelTags can always be up to date with YOUR LATEST LOCATION! Whether it be a campground, campsite, general directions, GPS, travel plans, boating harbor/slip/boat name, etc., even stays with petsitters are a perfect requirement for TravelTags!

When your pet wears TravelTags, you can be reunited as quickly as possible saving you and your family potential grief and heartache!

TravelTags are an absolute necessity for anyone who travels with their pets or sends them on a petcation while they travel!

Sounds interesting but the web site is not ready for the details I was looking for.
All of our dog tags are totally worthless outside of San Jose del Cabo.

Pet info

bajaguy - 12-30-2013 at 06:55 PM

Our dog and our cat have two pet tags each, one with our Baja info and one with our our US info. Both animals are chipped. We also have several photos of each by themselves and with one of us (to prove ownership) on a USB stick that we carry with us. We also have unique physical identifiers for each........hopefully not needed, but prepared.

I have all numbers on the tag...........home, husbands cell and my cell. Wears it ALL the time when we are traveling. nancy

Great to hear....As I said, their site is not up yet....I will post it when it is...I will forward all these replies and post their response...we hope a regular tag with our info and this great temporary one... when Rv'ing, camping or boating...We are in area where cell reception is iffy at best....Just an inexpensive safety measure. Thanks for your input.

Fom my friend at CAMPSAFE.....campsafe@yahoo.com

TravelTags are especially helpful if you are camping in an area with SPOTTY or NO CELL RECEPTION! When people cannot get a hold of you, they know where that pet belongs and can get it to you! This is especially important for pets who are taking medications to be found and reunited asap!

Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Not for everyone as it is pricey but I spent the money for a radio tag and a radio direction finder for the stinking cat. It's not like he doesn't come back but never when I want him too and meanwhile I die a thousand deaths imagining him stuck somewhere.

The tag and collar is $50 and the hand held direction finder is $250. I get a signal up to about a quarter of a mile. I find him every time. Sometimes he is five feet away and I can't see him.

Collar battery seems to last at least a month and then fails gracefully. Starts to sound sorta sick for a few days.
