Just now, a group of people, both women and men dressed in floor-length, filmy and translucent white robes wrapped with black cords, quietly walked by
our house to the cliff above the ocean.
The dogs saw them first and alerted us with the, "Hello, strangers here." greeting announcement at the fence.
The group assembled together at the cliff edge and it looked like one of the women was emptying a container (jar, urn?) off the cliff into the ocean.
The group raised their hands up in a manner that might have been interpreted as prayer gestures, and some of the group was beating on metal objects
that resembled gongs and other musical things I don't have the vocabulary to describe.
Dancing was not involved.
