When New Years is a Fri.-Mon. event we can get away to Baja! This Tue.-Thu. stuff (2013, 2014) doesn't work well when you have a job! Having a job is
a good thing in today's economy!
2012 (Bahia Santa Maria at Baja Rob's with Tunaeater and El Comondante Loco; Shell Island; Fossil Beds):

2010 (Bahia Santa Maria at Baja Rob's, Sulfur Mine, with new truck on its first outing):
Bahia Santa Maria as seen from Sulfur Mine, 5 miles west.

David, where are these fossil beds, I would love to poke around just to see what is there. JH

Yes, I am dying to not be in Baja...
The fossil beds (see the original trip report for more photos, including petrified sand dollars, Jan. 2010) are just west, off the old Puertecitos
road, a few miles south of the sulfur mine. There are other fossil deposits in the San Felipe area at the same elevation (when sea levels were
actually higher, because Mother Nature doesn't need any help with that)! I was following another vehicle and not recording mileages... sorry as that
is very unlike me!
