Random Baja Encounters, Pt. I

So last night, we drove into our little puebla, Primo Tapia, to buy milk, cereal and juice at the mini-market, El Jefe (Open 24-7).

We also planned on having dinner, but every restaurant was closed for the holiday, except the Chinese place and hubby didn't want Chinese food.

Me: "Well, how about getting some tacos and quesadillas to take home from Tacos Mi Puebla? They are always open 24-7."

Hubby: "OK."

While we were waiting for our food at the taco stand, a guy with a large plastic bag full of pillows knocked on my car window and asked if I would like to buy some pillows. Our dog in the car didn't get upset with him, so I got out and looked inside his bag. The pillows were large, about 3' x 2', fluffy and fully stuffed. They looked new, the colors in the fabric was nice and they smelled fresh.

Me: "How much?"

Him: "Fifteen dollars for two."

Me: "Five dollars."

Him: "Eight."

Me: "Done, please go ask my husband for the money."

He put the pillows in the car and went over to my husband and asked him for exactly the price that he had agreed on with me - no trying to change it.

Hubby had been complaining about his back hurting after he spent time in his chair, so I put one of the pillows there.

This morning, hubby said to me, "I love these new pillows!"
