With the road problems does anyone have any guesses as to how long it will take us to get to Ensenada from Rosarito ? ThanksBajaGeoff - 1-6-2014 at 06:05 PM
We did it in less than an hour on Friday. The detour on the free road is about 21 miles long and took us half an hour. The only bit of traffic we hit
was going up the big hill outside La Mision. Pretty easygoing...Ateo - 1-6-2014 at 06:44 PM
Ditto. Count on an hour to be safe. Have fun!Percebusue - 1-7-2014 at 09:35 AM

It took me 5 minutes longer to go from Ensenada to Rosarito than from Rosarito to Ensenada. How do you explain that?dasubergeek - 1-7-2014 at 11:01 AM

Headwinds.
I like that answer, but I think the accurate answer is that northbound traffic was likely heavier than the southbound traffic when you went south. I
went north through there on Saturday (before the offshore winds picked up) and noted that the heavier northband traffic had two impacts: (1) not
surprisingly, the travel on the free road south of La Mision was slower northbound (especially because we were in a long line of traffic behind a
series of semis) and (2) it took longer for the northbound traffic to get through the intersection at the La Mision/La Fonda offramp from the
southbound free road, which was being hand-directed by cops.
