I've followed Baja Nomad Forums for eight years and just had to register today to reply to your post. Your "Good Alarm" looks exactly like my dog Cali that I picked up in Mulege in 2008.

I don't know how to p0st a picture yet, but I wonder if they could be related since you're in that area.

Hola and welcome to the forum, BajaBill. Your dog, Cali may indeed be a relation of this dog, Cedric, a female. She has a colorful history and loves the water. I got her as a pup in Mulege from a woman with a basket full of pups at a Mulege Pig Race around 2004. Cost a whooping 50 pesos, so she's quite valuable and was immediately lovable. As so often happens in Baja, it was the beach and she belonged, so she quickly became a 'beach master' for the whole community and started her duties early on. Comforted and cared for by all. So..yes, your dog may indeed come from the same ..uh...pedigree. If your dog's tail knocks every glass off the coffee table, it's a match!

KaceyJ, for sure Cedric loved that couch...and would sometimes scare the heck out of me when I walked by in the dark. A good watchdog...most of the time. :rolleyes:

This was a nice introduction to the Baja Nomad Forum for me, thanks to both of you. Pompano, when I learn how to post photos, I'll post some of Cali. The two are amazingly alike. And yes, her tail is a lethal weapon always going. I "captured" her at hotel Cuesta Real in July of 2008 and she was at least one year old then.
