I wanted to try out a new rig this afternoon for chasing halibut from the beach.
Whoops. Gave me a good tussle on my light spin rod.

Any flavor of Tuna + Feet on the beach = cool trick few people ever accomplish !

They are EVERYWHERE this year.
We have caught them down at 180 feet, jigging for jurels. Never experienced that. Always caught them in 0-75 feet, or so.

Bahia Asuncion on the Aloha side., and I couldn't get a hit on anything. Sheesh... One too small Halibut on a Croc. There is a lot of seaweed in the
water after the big swells. Tiresome in one of the very best ways!!
Nice water temp. though, and beautiful this evening with the off-shore blowing back off the breakers.
