Borracho, Baja’s bewitched burro, bets Broncos for the 2014 Super Bowl. Two hay bales were put in front of Borracho before his morning shift for
photographs on Tijuana’s Avenida Revolución. One bale was painted “Seahawks” and the other was marked “Broncos”. Borracho first sniffed at the
Seahawks bale. But, the Tijuana Zonkey chomped into the Broncos bale with gusto.
Borracho expanded his work and creativity after the economic downturn of 2008 hurt tourism in Tijuana and Baja. As a result, he has correctly
predicted the winners of the last 5 Super Bowls.
This Baja Burro’s Super Bowl prediction record meets or exceeds his fellow friends of the animal kingdom including manatees, monkeys bears, puppies,
porcupines, rhino and the Komodo dragons.
