My buddy Andrew is driving his Silverado pickup and flatbed trailer down for a 4WD run in Baja in 2 weeks. He wanted to know if there was a
gated/guarded or safe place to park his vehicle and trailer for the 4 days we are out of the country?
Calexico, Brawley, El Centro are fine with us...

I see this post back on todays so ??
I think it's called AAA storage within walking distance from the downtown border in Calexico. We stored some stuff there (vehicles etc) while waiting
to get them thru customs. Seemed good enough place to me.

Hi,
We used to park at the DeAnza, but it is now a Senior Citizen's place. To get to the storage place mentioned above, follow 111 - main street to the
main crossing--then turn right on 2nd street. The storage yard is on the right hand side---can't miss it. If you get to where Von's used to be---a
shopping center, you have gone too far.
We never stored anything there while we were living in Calexico, but we never heard anything negative about the place.
Good luck
Diane

I left my truck there one time a few years ago and it was safe and secure. I even left a few minor things in the back like a jack and a spare tire
and they were still there when I returned.
I think it is like 7 bucks a day.

!Muchas Gracias para la informacion! There are 3 separate pickups with trailers that will be looking into this place for parking during the Pole Line
Road event in April.

Ken -
The posters above are correct - the place you want is called Double AA Parking - they're at 201 W 2nd in Calexico.
I've been using them for 10 years and never had problems.
Turn right on the last place you can make a right on before entering Mexico that'll be W2nd - Map Quest will have it.
The same company has big rig parking just around the corner and down the street - chances are they'll refer you there if you have several trailers.
Also - if you're ever looking for reasonable parking within Mexico just go to:
http://www.google.com.mx/
and enter "un aparcamiento" and then click "voy a tener suerte" (I'm feeling lucky) - and it takes you to the nearest availble place.
Good luck man.
