Aeromexico & LAX

Earlier this month we arrived LAX on Alaska...transferred to Aeromexico for flight to LTO. We were approximately 25 people back in cue line....90 minutes later we got to the counter. I still am wondering why we cannot download our boarding pass and just go directly to the Gate. Just like we do w/ Alaska. Today my sisterinlaw had a 3 hour layover and stood in line for most of it...she made it to the gate just in time to board. Said the lines were slow and ungodly long...just like we experienced. Can anybody clue me in as to why we can't download a boarding pass? We swore we'd never fly them again out of LAX...

I'm not a fan o Aeromexico. Three years ago, we were headed to Cancun. When we checked in at the counter at LAX, we were informed that our seat assignments had been changed even though we had selected them online. This was a flight to Mexico City with a connection to Cancun. What they offered was seats rows apart from each other. The agent then told me that we could upgrade to first class for $20 per ticket. I jumped on that so we could sit together.

During the early morning flight, they came around with meal service. What we got was clearly leftovers from a previous flight inasmuch as it was a dinner! A roast and vegetables with a dinner roll.

Since we were in first class, I decided to order a couple of bloody marys. Not only did the flight attendant give me a look of scorn, but it took about half an hour for them to arrive.

I have to say that our flight from Mexico City to Cancun was uneventful, but from the very beginning, when our pre-selected seats in coach were given to others, I really think folks ought to avoid Aeromexico unless it is the only airline that serves your destination.

This just in! Aeromexico is a subsidiary of SAPA and run by the same geniuses that bring you your water and sewer. Just another in a long list of Mexican monopolies.
