I'll be crossing northbound tomorrow around 10 AM with a passenger that does not have ready lane documents. So I'll be entering the border from the
west and using the left lanes.
Are there any construction delays? Does anybody have any tips like "stay to the left" or whatever?

It doesn't really matter which lane you're in. Just be prepared to be line for quite a while. The border wait times have been running from 2 - 4 1/2

Just south of Rosarito, near the studio, is the turnoff for Blvd. 2000. That puts you right there.

I have seen this turn off to Ave 2000 a few times. Does it really take you directly to the Otay cross? If so, what would be the best time to cross on

My preference is take the Corridor 2000 to the Tecate offramp, the first MAJOR right turn before the toll road to Tecate. Take the 10 miles to the

We prefer to cross at Otay Mesa because the signs are very clear as to how to get there. No problem finding the end of the line like TJ, and crossing
is usually faster. Most of our wait times have been up to the 30 minute level. We generally cross in the middle of the morning. At Otay Meas you
are about 6 miles east of TJ, so it is not like it is along way out of the way. A book is still not a bad idea.....after all this is Mexico!!!

Cross at Otay, so much easier. Backtrack south on the free road to Blvd. 2000, follow the obvious signs. You'll exit right, loop around left, and
there will be huge signs to guide you. It is one right turn. Once you're across, follow the freeway to the 805 or 5.

Around 11:00 the wait in the regular lane was 15 minutes. The ready lanes were backed up. If I get Sentri, I don't know if I can find the entrance to
the correct lane. There ain't no signs, either here or at SY. The instructions that I have read are so convoluted, they are nearly impossible.

Otay SENTRI is easy. From Blvd. 2000, you take the usual exit for Otay. When you go under the Panasonic bridge (it's really obvious), take a right at
the sign for Blvd. Bellas Artes / Zona Industrial. Then make a left at the second light onto Bellas Artes. Just before the overpass, you'll see a
traffic light with TWO right turns. There's a car wash between that light and the overpass. Turn into the second right turn (closest to the car wash)
and you're in the SENTRI line. There's a sign.

Oh, and SY SENTRI is easy too: you take the Vía Rápida Oriente along the east side of the river. The Vía Rápida has two sets of lanes, express and
local, and you can cross back and forth between them at set locations.
Once you pass the Pueblo Amigo Hotel, the "express" lanes (left side of the divider) go to the Ready Lanes, the "local" lanes (right side of the
divider) go to the SENTRI. Just stay in the local lanes. They'll curve right, you'll cross Paseo Centenario de Tijuana, and you'll see a huge SENTRI
sign on the left.

I thought that the crossing would be easier by Monday night and did not go to Tecate. What a blunder, they would not even let you in the line for
crossing and traffic was backed up on Heroes for twenty blocks and the usual entrance was completely blocked. So then I had to go to Tecate and
crossed in an hour.
