Is anybody familiar with actually declaring and paying duty on things they bring down from the States?
I'll be coming down with a little less than $1000 of new items (tools and car parts for Mexican friends).
I am asking because I recall threads that involved having to go to another entry point if you have too much or something.
This would be Tecate.

I have imported goods through Tecate many times with no problems. They have never dug through my load or questioned the value on my invoices. The last

Actually, I have found them to be quite pleasant and accommodating, and it

I've gotten away with murder (figuratively speaking) doing this. Aduaneros are not concerned with your load and small potatoes IVA they want the
vehicle stuffed with pantalla plano televisores, stereos, new Levi 500's, top shape high horsepower outboards, all trying to sneak through the nothing
to declare lane.
