Weather in Baja

Wilbur4s - 2-25-2014 at 02:46 PM

I will be riding my motorcycle down Baja at the end of April. Anyone know where I can find a link to weather in Baja that shows historic information? I'd like to check the route from Tecate to Ensenada (Route 3) and other locales.
Thanks, Will

Sunny and warm at that time on the Tecate Road, and most likely all over. Anything else will be an anomaly. Weather patterns here just aren't that dynamic.

Sunny and warm from driving in a car point of view, or from riding a motorcycle point of view?

But Now We Have GlobalAlGore, throw everything out the window. IMHO it's a lot better meaning a lot more accurate the closer the time approaches.

Either way. Just to be on the safe side, bring a cooler full of frosty beer. It can be warm in the valley.

That would be nice. We really need the rain, but I don't think we'll be seeing the Pineapple Express that time of year. Maybe this week though.

By the way, Will, don't drive at night. Just a reminder.

I've been riding a scoot all my life. Bin down a few times but after the 1st "get off" I always wear full leathers and full face helmet. Ride safe like that and the weather will be a non event.

Tecate to Ensenada is going to be almost identical to San Diego County weather. Since I lived in SD County for over 50 years, I can tell you it will be either rainy or sunny with warm days and mild nights. Spring rain is the norm but it can vary year to year. The weatherman can usually be close about a week in advance of your trip if you don't want to get wet. If no rain, then it is a great time, weather-wise. The only negative is if you are going a week either side of Easter (Semana Santa) which is Mexico's #1 camping holiday... specially for the beach.
