Hello everyone. I am brand new and this is my first post. A group of buddies and I are driving to Loreto at the end of the month. I read a quick
comment on this website that there is a limit as to how many beers you can bring down??!! My heart sank as we are going for two weeks with people
flying down to meet us and had planned to bring enough spirits so that our crew of 9 doesn't run out. And on that not we had planned on bringing basic
bulk food items as well. Is there going to be any issues with this thought process?? Thanks in advance.acadist - 3-4-2014 at 06:15 PM
Plenty of beer and liquor in Mexico, and the price is right too! Buy in Loreto!MontaukMike - 3-4-2014 at 06:20 PM
Better than Costco prices?? And please don't bash me to hard but i need my Coors LightsCP - 3-4-2014 at 06:23 PM
Yes, we actually purchase beer, spirits and food in Loreto.
I see you and your buddies have all done your homework for the trip. MontaukMike - 3-4-2014 at 06:32 PM
Sorry. Kind of thought thats what i was doing by asking????Bob53 - 3-4-2014 at 06:35 PM
There's a Costco in Ensenada. Not sure if they sell Coors light tho.vandenberg - 3-4-2014 at 06:51 PM
Most Mexican beers beat the hellout of Coors or any NOB beer. And booze prices, Vodka and Tequila are much cheaper here.
Leave your Colorado Kool-Aid at home.Bob53 - 3-4-2014 at 07:00 PM
I can't drink that stuff. Much rather have a Negro Modelo or a Pacifico.DENNIS - 3-4-2014 at 07:20 PM

If they don't, many other places do. They put it in the cooler next to Tecate Lite and they look like each other.BajaBlanca - 3-4-2014 at 10:17 PM
Welcome to the forum! If I were you, I would take my chances with the beer. We do and we have been turned around for many reasons, but beer has never
been an issue ....that being said, if you opt for Mexican beer, perhaps Corona would be an option?
Food is not a problem, even bulk. If you saw our truck when we come down, you would understand.
Good luck and have fun. Loreto is a fun place.bajaguy - 3-4-2014 at 10:42 PM
Welcome to the board..........
Unfortunately, Coors Light is not really beer...
I would wing it. Plenty of booze to be had here (stay away from the "American" brands).....and the beer here, including Tecate and Pacifico Light beat
Coors lLght hands down!!!

Psssst, Coors Light is not beer.David K - 3-5-2014 at 07:58 AM
Try Tecate Light, Sol, or Pacifico Light, you may even like Corona (ug)... eventually working up to XX (Dos Equis) or Pacifico but they do sell Coors
Light in Baja... Try the Mexican brands, all or most were crafted by German brewmasters... some over 100 years ago!BajaBlanca - 3-5-2014 at 12:43 PM
I stand corrected by Husband Les who recently heard of so eone being turned back at the border due to having 2 cases of beer.
Being turned back is very distressing. So, again, I was wrong. Prolly not a good idea to bring it.Pompano - 3-5-2014 at 01:10 PM
An early reason for those Coors Light aluminum cans.
I remember a home-owner in Mulege who flew his V-tailed Doctor Killer loaded down with Coors Light into the Serinadad strip for many years. This was
back in the day when almost all of the beer sold in Mulege came in glass bottles...which he did not want to break in his van or his boat.
Why he picked Coors Light? Because he liked it. To each his own, but I'll stick with Pacifico.
p.s. to add...said flyer also drank 7-7's, which is a horrible thing to do to good whiskey.

Briing extra toilet paper, not beer (OR Coors light). Mexican TP is "John Wayne" TP... rough and tough, and doesn't take any S**T off of anyone.

Bringing beer to Mexico is quite similar to the philosophy of taking T.V. dinners to France.Bob53 - 3-5-2014 at 01:47 PM
They would actually turn you back? Can't you just surrender the excess of beer? I'd rather give up some beer than turn around. And that kills me to
say that.jbcoug - 3-5-2014 at 03:21 PM
I would suggest drinking the beer on the spot, and then proceeding. Win-win!!!!!!!!!)))bajaguy - 3-5-2014 at 07:35 PM
Bringing beer to Mexico is like bringing coals to Newcastle
