Hwy 79 Cafe have gas?

Hwy 79 Cafe north of La Paz where the hwy takes a little bend and closest to the Pac coast. I've heard (probably here) that they make lobster tacos, YUM! Is there gas to be had there also?

We'll be down the coast and this will be a good strategic spot to fill up.

I think lobster season is over... at least, it ends in early March here in CA.

I've enjoyed lobster at Mama Espinozas in El Rosario, but by this time of year, they usually tell me la temporada se acabo! (the season is done)

If you do get served lobster, it might be from out of MX or...illegal.

Thanks for the heads up there Whale-ista though my main objective is gas at that point.

If I do happen to sink my teeth into a succulent lobster taco though, I think my purity (or what's left of it) will still be intact. :saint:

How far north of La Paz... ??? Santa Rita comes to mind... El Rosario is 700 miles north???

Is that the name of the cafe, 'Hwy 79'?

David, it looks like about 55 mi north of La Paz and it's the closest point that hwy 1 comes to the coast. I think I misspoke and it is KM 79 cafe.

10-4... looks like San Agustin near the Punta Conejo road. I will look at Google Earth street view and see where the Km. 79 marker is...

That may be it, I have not been there. I got the "KM 79 cafe" name from a photo on google earth.

Yes, San Agustin and I believe it is actually around KM 77.

I think StuckSucks got the right place.
I have it maked in my almanac for gas (which means barrel gas too) so I must have got that tidbit somewhere...
