Baja Ski Report

burro bob - 12-6-2004 at 12:19 PM

While Jr is trying to make it seem like it is real warm down here, I'd like to set the record straight. I've had on my ski hat and coat for two days now.
This is from Morelia Junction at the north end of Valley Chico, this morning.
Does anybody know what radio station they give the Baja ski report on? Are chains and snow tires required on any Baja passes?

This one is from the same place looking south. All the major summits were white.

Good mountain shots. Wish I was in em!
I don't think it got down low enough but up around Rumorosa and Tecate, highway 2 can get pretty dang slippery although I don't think they have "chain insections" just yet.

Reminds me

Bob, awesome pictures! Here is one taken Feb. 2001 in Valle Chico, of the snow, by Amo Pescar on our first Matomi Canyon group trip...
