Dress Code at Sano's Steak House

Ateo - 3-29-2014 at 01:11 PM

Could one walk in wearing a guayabera, nice jeans, and a pair of tennis shoes and not feel under dressed?

Of course, the ambience is very nice and the waiters dress semi formal but they are used to tourists with casual dress. BTW Ateo I posted a few weeks back that La Fonda was open and I think you answered on the post. So to answer the question, yes La Fonda is open and packed the last time I passed there.

With that, nobody there will care how you are dressed.

Thanks. I'm making sure the hotel is open. I thought it was the bar that was mentioned previously being open. Thanks.

Ateo, They will take you any way you come in! We have come in after 2 days of pre running, The people there are great, It is a great place for steak. And make sure you check out the bar!

You'll do fine but to answer your question; you will be underdressed with respect to the locals. Families out dining dressed to the nines; business men in suits, that sort of thing. Tourists just like you.

Never felt underdressed at Sano's in anything, however I do go there in my Baja Formal attire......Hawaiian shirt (with a collar) and shorts.

Our favorite is to split a Porterhouse and salad, then order 2 baked potatoes..........delicious

Mmmmmmm. Sounds good. Porterhouse, salad and potato. Maybe tonight.

We are doing a wine tasting at Lechuza, then eating at Finca Altozano this afternoon.........

Who wears tennis shoes with Jeans? Would it kill you to put on a decent pair of dress shoes?

bajaguy - 3-30-2014 at 09:26 AM

Yeah, tennis shoes are tacky....how about boat shoes without socks??
