Beach combing, never say never!

Scot Franklin and his brother-in-law have been staying at Campo Sirena and I've enjoyed joining them on quad rides through this beautiful area. Day before yesterday they went south almost to Punta Prieta. Scot from Bandon Oregon had looked for floats all his life, and " I had to come to a foreign country to find one!"

Woody, maybe that's why everyone who handled it was walking around the next day wondering how they'd managed to sunburn their HANDS! High nineties in the shade here yesterday!

Oh man...what a lucky guy! I havent ever seen one of those in these parts and thought they were pretty much gone now...guess not! It has revived my faith in finding one...gracias.

I'm ignorant. What is it?

japanese fishing float that is woven into the nets.

Thanks. Looked floatish to me, but a tad large. Makes sense now.

When I was a kid we found glass floats most every day on beach of WA coast. I suppose the Japanese now use foam floats, eh?

I'm pretty sure that we camped on this very spot just 3 months ago. I'd walk down to the water's edge along that trail on the left and then proceed up the coast as far as I could. It was a wonderful way to end each day.
