Spring has come to my garden

BajaBlanca - 4-12-2014 at 08:58 PM

This morning I woke up to three brand new spring flowers! What a treat.

A Braziilian cactus flowering for the first time!

Not sure what the name of this one is, but it flowers every year. Any guesses?

Flower 2

And this is a first time flowering plant too, if you know what it is, please tell me

In San Diego, as you know, Spring brings Arizona license plates and green grass in the meadows of the Laguna. Last but not least is the presence of PCT hikers at the Laguna Lodge and general store.

Is that your landscaping Bob?

If so, I would like your landscaper's name & phone number.

I really like that skull Woody. Where can I get one?

These tulips are not from my garden but from the neighborhood. I pass them during my walks.

Beautiful tulips, such an array of color.
Verrrrry nice Diana.
Love the tiny flower, Woody, I have an old man cactus too, but I never thought to look that closely for a flower.

BajaBlanca - 4-14-2014 at 08:41 AM

Bob, in your garden, I love that the gardener made purple the main color everywhere.

You really are the man, hands down.

Are you in Portland now?

Nice Dodge by the way. Is it a 1970 or ???

BajaBlanca - 4-15-2014 at 08:58 AM

Those roses are just gorgeous.

Mexitron - 4-15-2014 at 09:34 AM

Blanca---that third plant has me stumped...where did you get it? Looks tropical.

BajaBlanca - 4-15-2014 at 09:40 AM

Mexitron, I think I got it as a cutting somewhere, quite recently, and I don't remember where. It flowered right away.

Mexitron - 4-15-2014 at 12:29 PM

It looks kind of like plants in the Theaceae (Camellia family) but I really don't know. So many different kinds of tropical plants that will grow in Southern Baja!

DianaT - 4-17-2014 at 04:54 PM

Those roses are really fantastic --- I love roses and those are beautiful.

It is cactus blooming time and our Beavertail cactus is just beginning. I can't wait to see the many, many buds open up -- then again, I am still looking for those tiny, tiny thorns that I feel in my hand, but cannot see to pull out. :-)
