Pedestrian crossing question

TheColoradoDude - 4-16-2014 at 03:36 PM

Hello folks. I crossed south at San ysidro on foot on Monday around 5pm and no wait crossing although the line coming back was about a half mile long. What should I expect tomorrow when I cross back over north. I have a flight back to colorado at 7 and thought I would probably get to the border around 2pm.

Oh my!! where those tacos at Los yaquis delicious .

Just a quick trip down here to RosArito to relax and catch a couple Baseball games in Tijuana.

Thanks for the input.

Semana santa is a very busy time for crossing. I would figure a couple of hours at least.

Don't you need to buy a set of crutches at a curio shop? Better yet, a walker.
Check you shopping list.

Well I guess I wait. I don't have a passport card or the RFID card. It says enhanced drivers license. I do have a class A commercial license not sure if that means enhanced.

when you walk across into the uSA is not as bad as it looks...

the line moves fast...even if it looks like its a mile long its faster than the cars

No, a class A license is not enhanced. Enhanced means you proved you were a citizen when you got the license and it has an RFID chip in it, the word "ENHANCED" on it, and an American flag icon on the front. The only states that issue them are Washington, New York, Michigan, Minnesota and Vermont.

Expect a two-hour wait to cross and you won't be disappointed. If you get to the border at 2, you should make a 7 p.m. flight out of San Diego airport just fine.

That's Soooooooo 2000's...........

Go to Harbor Freight, buy a cheap creeper and a couple of bink plastic baseball bats. Double your legs back, toss a towels over them and use the bats to spoon your way to the head of the line, sitting on the creeper.

yep 2 hours. 1 hour in a shuttle for 5 bux they said was quicker then an hour standing in line. 5 bux was worth being able to sit down. The ready lane moved faster and the sentri lane was wide open. Saw a guy with a bicycle pass through the fast handicapped lane. Saw many questionables with canes haha.

now I understand the buying crutches comment.

Ah, I never fall for the bus thing, but if you like to sit, it's probably worth the $5. Sometimes you can end up waiting longer in the bus line than the normal line, though.
