Today was a perfect day in San Diego County and this afternoon we visited what was always called the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but the name changed
to San Diego Zoo Safari Park...
Located along state route 78, just east of Escondido in the San Pasqual Valley... the scene of a major battle of the Mexican War of 1846-1848.
We live not far from Escondido, and are members of the zoological society... and both the zoo and Safari Park are great attractions here in San Diego
County.
Another plus to the Safari Park is their Baja Gardens, where one can see more boojum trees than anywhere else outside of Mexico!
The following 15 photos were taken with my cell phone, so please excuse the lower quality images... We did see some cool stuff, so I wanted to
share...

Went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago since about 20 years ago. It was amazing to see how much it's changed and grown over the years.
We are also members, so we will make a few trips to see everything this park has to offer.
Thanks for the photos David!Bajaboy - 4-20-2014 at 09:21 PM
