Interesting, for sure. What's left of the Kumeyaay Paipai people are those that escaped the roundup of hundreds of thousands of indigenous natives
and turned into slaves on the Henequen plantations down south on the mainland. It all but wiped out the Yaqui nation.
America wasn't the only country around here to practice slavery.
