We have Sentri and just bought a new car. I know we need a license plate before the inspection, but can I apply and get the ball rolling before the
plate comes in? Wondering if I can get away with putting "pending" in the license plate box on the application?

I was going to ask the same question but ending up buying a used 2013 instead……

I just recently added a new car to my Sentri and they said I had to wait for my new plates to arrive before I made my appt. Not to say you couldn't do
it differently.

Gaucho,
The license plate number is a "required field" when adding a vehicle online. Were you able to leave it blank or did you put pending? I figured it
would need a plate before I could schedule an inspection....but I'm hoping I can get the ball rolling on the application process.

No, you have to put the license plate number in the field. You may be able to get the license plate number ahead of time (before the physical plates).
