Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Shaw tv in Baja and if so are you able to receive HD programming? What size dish is necessary? Can
you get east and west coast feeds? How do you subscribe if you don't have a Canadian address?

We have shaw direct with a 12 volt receiver and larger dish (75cm??) and get all of our feeds in BCS. You need a Canadian address, and do not let the
provider know you are in the US or Mexico.

You won't have a problem with Shaw Direct. Don't order the new feed from the latest satellite, all HD, it works only in the north. But there is still
some HD from the older two satellites, some signals into Central America I've heard. You will get lots of hockey, but much more as well. As
cocscabaana wrote, search the internet for a broker. So far we've only had it to San Felipe, but have watched others view it as far south as Colima.

One of the gringos in Punta Abreojos used a broker for subscription and install.

Contact Alan Thompson at Eldoradosatellite.com/BajaTV .
He can give you the options from Dish network channels, Shaw etc. and he has installers in BCS to do the installation. They have a new package for
Dish Network that will allow you to get US network TV on Dish in BCS. I'm waiting for delivery to replace my current Dish system. Let me know what you
decide.

Shaw satellite for sure. I called Shaw last year. They will set you up with gear before you go and will "suspend" your northern service if you want
(e.g. If you have Shaw cable, phone, and/or internet).

Shaw footprint covers waaay further South than S. Felipe. St Rosalia and Loreto are still fine with a regular 60cm dish. I never bothered with HD,
with my old TV set this wouldn't make a difference. Not to mention that old movies - I watch a lot of those - were made before HD. If HD is
important for you, get 75 cm dish.
Yes, you need a Canadian address. Or a fake Canadian address. I've heard those brokers are good at setting you up with a fake address. It's a
one-time thing, there is no paper mail and all the billing goes through online banking or credit card.
