Real-time image-based translator on your smart phone...free!

So, you hold your phone up to a sign or a menu or some other text written in Spanish, as if you are taking a picture. The image that shows on your phone screen is a translation of what you are looking at in real life. Pretty cool! No internet needed, either. The App and the language packs are both free for a limited time from the App store. I don't work for these guys, I just saw it on a computer geek site and thought it might come in handy for people traveling in Spanish (or French, for that matter) speaking countries.

The App is called Word Lens. Here's a link to a website about it:

"Android/iOS: Word Lens, the app that can translate the words and language it sees in real time, is free to download today.

Google has purchased Word Lens' parent company, Quest Visual, and their first move was making the app free to download. Additionally, all of the language packs added since it's release are available for free within the app too."

Cool....Whats Next??
