Sentri exit in TJ

makana.gabriel - 5-28-2014 at 07:17 PM

I haven't been down in awhile and found that the Sentri lane in TJ to San Ysidro had been moved. Followed someone's directions and got in the general lane by accident and was stuck there for over 2 hours. I used to enter Sentri by the Pueblo Amigo. Where is it now? I know it must be addressed here but can't find it when I do a search. Have to come back on Sat so would really appreciate some insight. Thanks!!

wow - as one who can get lost in a parking lot, I'll continue to go to Otay for the sentry - I've never seen such a ridiculous route to get anywhere - hopefully for those who persevere the wait is short...

Yes, it's a very roundabout way to get there, and there's always a cop or two directing traffic at the stop sign. The longest I've had to wait is 45 minutes, but I think in a year or so, it won't be worth having a Sentri. Those two lanes are backed up a lot.

But it sure made it easier to move my things back to San Diego, though.

I never bother with the Colonia Federal route (U-turns, etc.). On weekends the line is so far back for SENTRI that they won't let you turn left from the side road.

From Revolución, head down and make a left on 10th (Juan Sarabia). You'll pass Mercado Hidalgo, then keep going straight through 3 glorietas until you get to the last one, where you make a left. You'll see the SENTRI signage.
