There are three...
In the sand at extreme low tides in front of Coloradito, about 35-40 mi. from San Felipe.
At Puertecitos, 55 mi. from San Felipe, on the gulf side of the peninsula that form the cove are developed rock tubs that mix with sea water providing
various tempertures. Fee to enter Puertecitos private property.

That is STEAM rising from the streams on each side of me, from the hot springs there. The cold mountain stream mixes with the hot streams, a hundred
yards away... hot and cold running water! Isn't Baja great!?

in all of its many forms, baja is a jewel for those fortunate enough to be in "the know".
i am still discovering the pleasures of the pacific coast (only 1/3 (pacific, central, and gulf) of what there is to experience). since my first trip
to Popotla in 9th grade (thanks Jerry), through this coming week's foray into the sisters, it seems:

I believer the are JR. If anyone is at the entrance the want a buck or two a person last I heard.
Here again, you have to time it to the tides to get a usable temperature.
In Agua Caliente canon off Valle Chico, you can make your own pool and put in as much hot and cold as you want for the exact temperature to suit you.

Yes, if the gate is manned going into the Orozco proerty, they ask a dollar per person... Of course the hot springs are on federal land, in the tidal
zone. The first time they asked for dinero was in 1991. I went by the gate again in 2002, and was asked to pay to cross their land.

I have run into some really grumpy gringos in the area but no one has ever asked for money.
I don't think the hotsprings are all that great but there's some pretty unique snorkeling around the springs area.
But, I sure wouldn't pay to go there.
One or two dollars for the entrance and $80.00 for new shocks from the potholes

I enjoyed the hot sulfur Puertecitos springs the final time with my (then) new wife... about 1985/6. In 1991 they fenced the Orozco land and manned a
narrow passage... still there in 2002, with a person gaurding it, charging entry.
I guess he was on lunch break or siesta when you passed through the opening, lucky you!.

I didn't try to see the hot springs everytime I pass Puertecitos... they are not thaaat great! Last time I wanted to go in for a photo was Jan. 2 or
3, 2002... just a photo, not a dip. The 'human' insisted on payment even for a photo (that would promote the springs and bring more paying customers),
yes I told him that we were just going for a quick look and picture.
