It is a beautiful place nice people and good fishing. it is a nice boat trip down from Mulege you get to see things not Meany people see . and there is lots of nice boat camping sites between here and LORETO.

There is a road that the yachties and kayakers (me) hate because it opens up the San Basilio paradise to RV'ers. I have tried to drive it in a Toyota Tacoma 4x4, but the last time it was severely washed out after the chubascos in 2003. Anyone driven there recently? I suspect there are alternate routes to the one described in Walt Peterson's book, but I didn't have time to figure it out. JK

See the post about San Basilio close to this one.

I guess the difference....

....between this one and mine on San Basilio is that I made the mistake of forming my subject in the form of a question.

Note to self: ask questions in the body of the post so you get better visibility on the general board.

We went there by mistake in 1995 while trying to find San Nicolas. It was incredibly beautiful. We were on our way home and due to time constraints we did not spend much time there, but we always wanted to return. Still trying. When we were driving in we rounded a corner and there was a Borrego Cimarron running up the road ahead of us! Still trying to get a glimpse of one of those again ,too!
