Ken, a CJ-7 has round headlights... so unless he swapped in a YJ Wrangler front, maybe not?

YJ for sure - other than the obvious rectangular headlights, the CJ front pumpkin is on the passenger side.

Thats the brakes. Notice there are no brakes at the wheels.

A lot of heavy duty earth moving equip has that setup for brakes and they work quite well. it uses the gear train rather than a drum or disc on each axel.

I should have snapped a photo of the round dash board instruments. Willy swapped the hood, fenders, body panels, windshield and windshield frame, leaf suspension to coils, added long radius arms (popular about 10 years ago), upgraded the steering, but the interior is pure CJ-7 era.

A lot of older cars hat the Emergency Brake on a Drum or Disc behind the transmisson where the drive shaft was attched. Same principal ,use gear traim reduction to increase brakeing.

Not to mention he swapped in a YJ Dana 30 front diff along with ditching the far superior Dana 300 t-case to go with the YJ NP-231 chain drive case.

Jeeps were my life for a lot of years - I've built or had a hand in building many vehicles.
