I think I would have used the ramp....EnsenadaDr - 6-19-2014 at 08:58 AM
I don't see the passenger and I see what looks like a large fish fin on the right lower part of the last picture. Hopefully, it wasn't a shark that
just had a meal.
Maybe you were launching backwards?

The passenger is on the back side of the boat with just the top of his hat showing. The fin is part of a sculpture on the deck, see first photo in
sequence. No meals were had.woody with a view - 6-19-2014 at 11:15 AM

That's not a shark. That's a whale ... albeit a small one.woody with a view - 6-19-2014 at 02:57 PM

Mike & his Bayliner are very experienced at launching in front of my place. Just some launches are smoother than others
He caught the last big swell in the set and it has settled down a lot since. So I'm giving Mike the credit of taming the beastAteo - 6-19-2014 at 05:25 PM
Every photo got progressively worse and the bad decisions just kept piling up. Why not wait it out? yellowklr - 6-19-2014 at 05:50 PM
not the brightest guy in town thats for sureAteo - 6-19-2014 at 07:36 PM
Never go parallel with an oncoming wave. You are bound to get tossed. I learned this in Alaska.Pacifico - 6-19-2014 at 08:54 PM
These things happen.... But, you NEVER want to be between the boat and the shore when the waves come. Definitely a good way to break your legs or
worse!monoloco - 6-19-2014 at 09:20 PM
What's with the canoe?JZ - 6-19-2014 at 10:59 PM
Dangerous chit right there. Lucky not to be hurt badly. Pretty stupid.Russ - 6-20-2014 at 05:48 AM
Easy guys... Mike was trying to get to the pointy end out when the rouge wave came in. Only stupid thing here was I did get my fat ass out to help
him.Ateo - 6-20-2014 at 06:12 AM
I bet it was a good day on the water.Pescador - 6-20-2014 at 06:17 AM

You don't need to be a medium to guess what is going to happen when waves are coming in.

Amazing how the right conditions produce swells in the SOC. I've seen perfect point breaks come to life far inside the SOC from hurricane activity in
the Pacific.
As always nice shots from the front row seats Russ. jbcoug - 6-20-2014 at 01:46 PM

Which media do you not need to be? Radio, tv, print, electronic, etc
