HDI Seguros recently opened an office in La Paz and their man on the ground is a friend of mine.
Diego Torres Coronado is scrupulous, honest, and has lots of resources to find you the best possible insurance for anything (car, home, office,
business, bonding, life, etc, etc). He is a third generation agent and likes to form long-term bonds with his clients.
His office is on 425 Cinco de Febrero one block inland from the big cathedral (El Santuario) and his numbers are:
612-185-1461
612-185-1420
Cel 612-157-7357
His email is djtorres76@gmail.com
I have recommended him to several people from car liability, to R.V insurance, and some have picked his brain about construction bonding.
Give him a call if you have any insurance related questions. He is really quick and will leave you laughing once the business is done.
Peace,

It's now past the 24hrs mark, and nada.
Like many other BCS businesses.
Too bad....

Since I posted this Diego has fielded a lot of calls about renters insurance and boats. Boats, Diego mentioned, require all of the paperwork current
and legal to get insurance.
Diego also mentioned that it has been office policy not to answer out of country calls because of spam but they changed that policy today to better
serve foreign clients with interests in Mexico Hope that helps Karl.
The best way to make sure your inquiries are answered is email:

Yes, thank you.
We only have six vehicles in Centenario, a few trailers and stuff,
I do understand that is tuff.
So, maybe one day Diego sees my email, and figures out our interest in Mexico.
There seemed to be a sponsor for Mexican auto insurance.....
Karl
Excellent Karl...glad you understand.

I will be eating carnitas (the best in La Paz, IMHO) with Diego at lunch today if you would like to U2U me your number I will be sure he calls you if
I get your U2U before I leave the house. Or call his cell.
Bajabound is excellent but they refer you to various insurance companies one of which is HDI Seguros which has now opened a La Paz office where Deigo
works. So I don't think it is a conflict of interest and Diego is certainly an excellent person to communicate with in the business.
Would the residents of Centenario like a presentation about options for houses, rentals, cars, life and such? I bet it could be arranged and I have
been wanting to try the new restaurants out there.
Cheers,
