I read with great interest Blanca's post on San Miguel de Allende. There is a wonderful X-pat community there. In my response I mentioned that my
brother was selling his place in San Miguel de Allende. Here is what you can get for under $100,000. Lots of Canadians and Americans retiring there.

Thanks Blanca!!! You get what a jewel this place is. San Miguel de Allende consistently rises to the top of places in the world to retire.
It's a wonderful, safe, turn key, fully furnished, original owner home built and upgraded to American standards for $99,000, fully furnished. An
American or Canadian can fully own this home and live out their retirement in comfort, security and style. There is someone out there that would love
to move to San Miguel de Allende with NO HASSLE! All the issues have been dealt with, and believe me there are a lot!
This place is blocks away from an excellent hospital, world class medical care, and that is important for retirees. Within walking distance from a
major international market that carries typical American products. Not in the center of town with it's congestion, noise and narrow streets, but
within a few minutes of good parking for the Center, great restaurants and inexpensive taxi service to your door. Some of the best places in San
Miguel are not in the center of town, though it is the most popular ,highly touted and expensive place for new xpats to look for housing. In this way
it is a sleeper, ease of access with out all the hassles of living in the center of town. Having lived in the center of town my brother chose a home
outside of the center but close to it with all the amenities a retired American or Canadian would want.
