How do you pick an avatar on this site??

I'm a little slow, carbon monoxide you know, same tired excuse all firefighters use....

No avatars are included. You'll need to either post one online somewhere, and enter the URL (e.g.: http://...) to refer to it, or submit it to me by email, and I'll post it here for you to use.

Doug, can a photo be turned into an Avatar if I were to email you one ? By the way, thanks for the Nomad Board. This will probably become more popular than the Amigos board now that they have departed. Some of us weren't even aware of this board until Amigo's left. What fun to be able to post and see pictures from everyone, everywhere! Muchas gracias Amigo.

To others Bajabus was kind enouth to leave a link to a site to resize photos.

http://www.virtualzone.de/resizer/

I don't know how it works yet but it might be a way of also resizing to the right size for avitars.

Then you could go to a site like
ofoto.com put in your photos and link to here. Took me ( not to bright here) 5 tries to get sized and linked. If you do this, you paste into your album then right mouse click on 'a' picture -- this give you a menue --chose 'view imiage' --- this displays the picture in its true size--- if it is the right size then highlight the url address and do a copy --- next go to 'Your profile' HERE and paste it into the avitar slot (towards the bottom of the page) ---click '?? profile update' (very bottom of page) and in the next section you will see if it was a take or not (right size or nothing!) .:?:
Ps Ya I know it's a long winding treck but I always seem to find the hard way somewhere. Other may have a better way.

For the animated image, it would be best if you sent it to me via email.... use the email link on this post.

Thanks,

Seems I figured out how to get the picture to you but not the message that went with it. . Doug, can you put this redsun as an avatar for me. Thanks, Keri

reefrocket - 8-31-2003 at 02:04 PM

Keri your showing up as unregistered 'Anonymous' log in sooo's' we knows who yous' is!:D!

What we need is a site that we all can access and paste avitars to then link back. Don't know if one of the free places would allow multiple people using for avitar parking???

I've simply been uploading avatars for those that request such right to this server. They need to have an appropriate resolution (no more than 70 pixels wide... preferably 60x60) and file size (under 8k, preferably closer to 3k).

Either attach them here (non-animated), or send in an email. If you send in an email, it must be from the email account associated with the account here. I may request that you respond to an email reply from myself... as absolute confirmation as to who the request is from.
