July 15, 2014 "Radar Politico" by Jose Luis Puga Lizardi

Recognizing the efforts made by Group Sea of Cortez to launch the executive-service bus Santa Rosalia La Paz, thereby contributing to the development of Mulege, the mayor, Guillermo Santillan Meza said the Director General consortium, Jos Lpez Soto that "has the support of our government, because they will side with the development in our town, with the various projects that have been undertaken."

In the event, held at the premises of the bus terminal in La Paz Malecon Santillan Meza welcomed the new executive service, "because we know the capacity and accountability of the company", citing how he also got a change entirely to public transport in the county seat.

Meanwhile, Lopez Soto noted that this particular route, which will stop in Loreto for a period of only 15 minutes, find savings of approximately one hour from the state capital of La Paz to the municipal seat of Mulege (Sta. Rosala). Depending on demand service could grow to Guerrero Negro.

It was the growth of Santa Rosalia, explained the employer, which led the company to dabble with this new project that will leave La Paz at 11:00 am and Santa Rosalia to La Paz at 10:00 pm. The cost is 175 thousand pesos. Snacks will be sold on-board and a host will be in attendance on board the unit, plus wifi.

Does this have anything to do with the town of Mulege. I think it is going to run between LaPaz and Santa Rosalia (Municipal seat of Mulege) with a short stop in Loreto.

Then again I could be wrong. In fact, probably.

Is 175K pesos a bit much? $14,000!!! Even if it's 1750 pesos that would be $140. I can sit with a lot of chickens for the difference between that and the usual fare.

"y la atencin de una anfitriona a bordo de la unidad"

More than double the regular price, and instead of a free drink now they charge you for water? and a plane ride is cheaper?

Ride Aguila!

Oops, my bad.
I re-read the article and it did not say there'd be a stop in the town of Mulege but simply a 15-minute stop in Loreto which will reduce the commute time by one hour. I've edited accordingly.

The article states the cost is one hundred seventy-five thousand pesos (in Spanish 1 mil 750 pesos) which at first led me to believe this was a puddle-jumper airline opening up. I believe this to be a typo on their part but as it's a translated quote I did not change it.

I did, however, write $1750.Pesos in the short introduction as clarification and hope it's accurate.

The price of the ride from Sta. Rosala to La Paz has gone up and keeps pace with the cost of gas. $1750.Pesos seems reasonable for this calibre direct service (about $150USDollars +/-).

This is the executive express bus, not the milk run, and you'll probably be traveling without the pleasant company of goats or chickens. Behave yourselves if you can and have fun.

Any other luxury service is half price, this is a "new" meaning "double the price" option for "VIP gringos", the same seats are for sale at half the price. No one will pay $1750 pesos for a half day bus ride, not in mexico nor anywhere in the world, would you?

I wouldn't.........but maybe execs or employees of the copper mine, might?

That translates as "one thousand seven hundred fifty". :)
Which is why I wrote $1750.Pesos in the introduction.
