Q99 had a good race this past weekend. It was the CODE/RECORD Race Ready 275. Starting at Ojos negros and finishing at San Felipe 250 miles. Our
team of riders is me, my friend Carlos and Carlos's daughter Brianaa(17 yrs old). Brianna started the race and Carlos took over and brought it down to
me at Salda?a 2. They told me that the beginning was full of mud and big puddles. Carlos said the summit was very rough and tough.
TW meet me at S.2 to pick up some tires to help me which was a good thing. A few miles after I took over I lost the gas cap vent hose. Gas was
splashing out all over the place. I stopped with TW at la ventana and told him what I needed. He had his motorcycle in the back of his truck and
quickly took it off and put it on the quad. Off I go again and things are much better with the hose back on. The terrain is very rocky and I got a
rear flat about 1/2 way to check 4 (Borrego crossing). I rode about 20 miles with the flat. When I got to Check 4 my crew was quick to change the tire
and noticed the nuts were loose. Checking all 4 tires we realized all the nuts were loose. We finished tightening the nuts and filled it up with a
full tank of gas. The next part of the course was real fast especially since I had a tire full of air. The rest of the race went good. I passed my
crew at K159 waiving as I didn't need anything. All the whoops on the way to Zoo rd were very tiring though. After clearing TW at Zoo I knew I was
getting close to the finish. When I hit the dump road it was like paradise full throttle to the finish. The finish was at the bottom of the sand dunes
and my crew was there to meet me.What an accomplishment for us to finish. Then it was off to the malecon. When I got to the malecon everyone was
celebrating. The roads were closed except for the racers. At the awards ceromony the next day. We learned that we got 3rd place. We were very excited
about this since this was going to be our first plaque. I'd like to say a big thank you to TW for helping us out and being a part of our race and baja
lou for cheering for us on.. Thanks a lot Paul

Paul, you and your team did an excellent job on a difficult course. Obstacles like mud, rocks, sand and whoops make for a great race. I was happy to
help and will be there again for you and your team. See you at Bajalou's New Years feast.
