I went to their office in Ensenada a few months back to try and buy my annuals. I pretty much got laughed at while I waited for two plus hours. It
seemed the man who needed to take my money wasn't there and could not be tracked down. The fellow office workers could only offer snickers and words
of, "Soon come" to my questions. What a joke.

I just got mine in Ensenada not to long ago. You have to pay any fees to the bank as the dept employees are not allowed to take money.

Well I guess I never got that far. So I assume it is like a tourist visa then. You get your paper work and then go have it validated. The trip
wasn't a total loss though. They have a wall full of cool pictures of poachers they have caught.
So Whistler, you must be sending your stuff into the SD office right?

When I went down there, I asked Sergios about a license and they didn't sell yearly licenses.
But, they told me where the fisheries office was and I found it easily after asking someone walking. He got in and showed me!
They then gave me instructions to walk across the street and get the forms from the store and have copies made.
I returned to Pesca and they filled out the paperwork necessary for me to take to the bank.
I went and paid the bank, returned to Pesca with the receipt, they finished the paperwork and I was on my licensed way.
Probably 1 hour involved.
Tackle shops in the states or Mexican fisheries in San Diego take a matter of 5 or 10 minutes as a rule.

sure 5 or 10 minutes, but less and less of them are doing it, and you pay a premium.
Don't forget, I, of course, had my Mexican wife with me.
Maybe they were more concerned with looking at her for a while more, than getting me my papers.
