Immigration in La Paz

jeffg - 12-16-2004 at 09:48 AM

Can someone tell me where the immigration office is located in La Paz? We need to register our San Diego issued FM-3's.

Thanks,

Jeff

On the Macon about 1 or 2 blocks south of Los Arcos Hotel

Germanicus - 12-16-2004 at 02:05 PM

and at the Police Headquarter,
why don't you ask me in person, I do have a map and can show you the exact location.
Why going into the board?

flyfishinPam - 12-17-2004 at 03:51 PM

it makes no sense! so immigration is located at the police headquarter now??

Germanicus - 12-17-2004 at 09:21 PM

To Bruce:
Man oh man!
is it that difficult?
We, > you and me, are talking (nearly) everyday in person to each other.
I am changing money @ your place, we are discussing when JR might be joining in, and, and and.
So what is so difficult to understand?
I can not be more explic.

To FlyfishingPam,
Yes there is the office at the Malecon ,
and the main office at the "Palais du Municipal" or how it is called.
The place where you make your drivers license etc.

I do not have the La Paz street map infront of me.
If you wanna know more precisley, I can get you that location maybe tomorrow.
Please advise.

Germanicus with all due respect I relay don't understand your comments to me . I never asked you any Questions I only gave some one directions that they asked for . I might suggest you go back to the beginning of the thread and read it through.
your Friend Bruce

I'm sure that the person who started this thread

Tucker - 12-17-2004 at 09:51 PM

is becoming confused. After living in La Paz for more than 9 years I can assure you that the INM (immigration) is located on the Malecon between Allende and Juarez, no other public locations. It is a federal agency, the Palacio (on Isabel Catolica) is the office(s) of the state government. Drivers licences, etc., are issued at Transito on Colima.

With all due respect to sexual preferences I think Germanicus just doesn't like dealing with los malecones - if he prefers doing busines in the safety of the PD headquarters I think that should be his prerogative.

(idea stolen from Oso years ago)

wow this thread has gone crazy

Anonymous - 12-20-2004 at 04:37 PM

The word you're thinking of is maricon...not malecon...but, it's a pretty good malapropism!
