I researched ferry service across the sea of cortez but much of what I found is dated. Do you have any info on ferry services? I would be going
from BC toward Jalisco.

Call them.
They generally have someone in the office who speaks good English - and they are good with e-mail responses in English, also.

If you're going to Jalisco, head for Mazatlán on the ferry. I was just there (not on the ferry, in Mazatlán) and they have really tried to make it as
easy as possible to get off the ferry and get to the highway. When you get off you'll just drive straight, it's a brand-new road with a center divider
of palm trees. You'll curve a couple of times and bam, you're on Hwy. 15 headed toward Tepic and Durango. From there it's about a 10-mile drive to the
toll road, which you should use... there have been fewer bloqueos on the toll road than the free road, and then it's 5 easy hours to either PV (433$
in tolls) or GDL (780$ in tolls), depending where in Jalisco you're headed.
If this is your first trip to the mainland, remember they're a lot less accepting of dollars outside of Baja. Change your money or you'll get ruined
on the exchange rate when they take the dollars at all.
