How can I find the restaurants worth finding in the less than formal dining category? If I see another waiter in a black vest, I am heading the other way.

El Rey Sol on the main drag is quite casual, and even has a piano player. They have a very diverse menu, although they claim to be French. Have always enjoyed our meals there.

You may also wish to consider Las Cazuelas on Sanguines, which has won a number of awards in years past. Very clubby feel inside. They are very busy at breakfast (for good reason) and lunch. Very casual.

Just walk around the Tourist Zone at the dinner hour, which for Mexicans can be late.

I love the BOUGANVILLEA restaurant which is right next to the EL CORTEZ hotel right on the tourist store road one block in from the waterfront.

You are probably looking for seafood but their filet mignon with mushroom sauce is outstanding.

If you are there early enough, they have an outside area - great for people watching. Not formal but not too casual either.

Bambo Garden on Riverall, one block east of tourist street. Great Chinese, sushi and full bar.

The Martinez Brothers, David and Javier, both have excellent casual restaurants. David's Tres Muelles is on the waterfront and has terrific seafood. Boules owned by Javier has a more diverse menu and is adjacent to La Contra an excellent wine store.

Funky french restaurant area that houses Le P-nche Francé,320 calle floresta
Privada Playa Todos Santos.
Several other eateries next door, Argentina grill. Funky, well priced and good. Across the street is a Kabob house and a gelato shop Great fun and casual.

This... great place to go and try different dining experiences and types of food. Very casual, great prices.

If you head south on the Costero, past the "new" public beach, at the dead end of Costero turn left onto Florista, it will immediately be on your right.

The "official" name is el callejón (the alley)

If the Valle de Guadalupe is an option you will have a few dozen choices. Even the more expensive places are casual. This is a good time as there are a bunch of new seasonal campestres that are now open.
