One of my faves was a small 3' metal 'swing-sign' at the gasoline pumps of a 2-pump station/café in a tiny town in southeastern Utah... it read:
GAS
AT
CAFE
Another was I Roosevelt, (northeastern) Utah. It was (and still may be) a REST AREA---> sign on the left side of the highway pointing directly
across the road at the.... Roosevelt City Cemetery. The rest area was just past it on the right.

I love signs in Baja. These were in San Felipe - I'll see if I can locate others.

Funny.
I will look closer at signs now, and I should carry my camera more.bajabuddha - 8-14-2014 at 10:32 AM
And especially when folks come visit Myul-a-hay.BajaGeoff - 8-14-2014 at 10:55 AM
One that I wish I had a photo of...the sign at Baja Seasons says "No squads on beach".
Now every time my wife and I see someone riding a quad...we say..."Hey look! A squad!!!"

Those are all excellent! And even the menu here in La Bocana got messed up when the did the final print. I give up!BajaGeoff - 8-15-2014 at 09:23 AM
I believe this was from Don Gus in Guerrero Negro. We really weren't sure about the first omelet option. Of cracks with cactus????

I've seen some really funny menu translations in Mexico, but this is one of the best.
"Ham, sausage, ranchers, the Mexican
the mason with dacon"

Two of Mexico's most well guarded secrets.....who paints all of the white rocks on the roadside, and where is the official proofreader for signs. micah202 - 8-15-2014 at 10:16 AM
