As many of you may already know: There is more to Valle Guadalupe than wine.
If you are interested in trying olive oil, cheese, wine vinegar etc. be sure to visit
Sol de Medianoche in Francisco Zarco, A small community west of Encuentro Guadalupe off hwy 3.
There is a lineup of small wine lounges, ice cream shops etc. near this shop, if you'd like to try some other goodies; this one was recommended by our
host at Encinares BnB.
They provide small trays for each person, with a dozen or so selections of various cheeses. They also have locally made dressings that you can sample
and purchase.
I purchased some red wine vinegar for myself and for a gift, and my friend bought some of the dressings.
(Added bonus: Unlike the 1 L per person limit on wine you can get as much of this as you would like to take back across the border.)
