Some troubling news: I saw a guy walk by on the beach with a full backpack wearing an Hawiian shirt and to other hawiian shirts drapped over the top of the pack. I did some investigating and Know who the guy is and talked to him but can't prove they aren't his and I could look at the pack. I have some locals searching houses for any sign o a break in but so far no word. I took some pics of him but so far those expensive shirts belong to him although he's a penniless bum.
Here's the good stuff

Don't know what the newest hurricane going to do but at the least we should get some showers.

mtnpop - 9-3-2014 at 05:54 PM

Russ,
The guy that bought Mike Hermans place wears hawiian shirts mostly...
You might check around that house....
that house is in the parcel below the community center and next door to Big D's house...

Russ - 9-3-2014 at 06:08 PM

Thanks. I looked but Kichi is there too looking after your neighborhood.

mtnpop - 9-3-2014 at 06:17 PM

thanks Russ,
I have been wondering about the jeep and rv next door on the corner...
usually the gas tank is empty when we get back... but we figure it goes to a good cause...

take care and watch the skies......

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up Russ. My Dad has some Hawaiian shirts in his closet I will give him the heads up to make sure the house has been checked on recently.

Mike Check your U2U

Rain stopped for now. .05" so far wind near 20mph average.

Russ - 9-5-2014 at 06:40 AM

The red blob in the SOC is heading towards us.

chivatojoe - 9-5-2014 at 06:51 AM

Well the one good thing is ? at least you get to deal with the blob during daylight hours so you have a chance to duck if anything gets airborne...:wow:

watizname - 9-5-2014 at 07:15 AM

Good Luck buddy.

Russ - 9-5-2014 at 07:22 AM

Got soaked returning from checking a neighbors and starting her generator.

Russ - 9-5-2014 at 01:33 PM

1/2" and it feels like it'll taper off for at least awhile. wind down to single digit now and in places the sun is trying to peek through.

Russ - 9-5-2014 at 03:45 PM

Heavy rain for about 15min. Check the temp. Nice or what? No AC today

Hope all the bad stuff stays on the West side ( Sorry Shari ). Looks like temps are manageable. Can't express how helpful your daily first hand reports are.
Many thanks for taking the time . Hope to get down in a week or so.

Bob and Susan - 9-6-2014 at 06:51 AM

lots of water on the bay in mulege...

sun out now...lots of clouds

Russ - 9-6-2014 at 01:34 PM

Talked with Orlando this morning and he said the estuary had a lot of water but passable in 2x4 Lots of puddles in the usual places.

Howard - 9-6-2014 at 01:40 PM

Any news on the Hawaiian shirts?

Whale-ista - 9-6-2014 at 02:08 PM

Interesting display on your weather report. Can you customize the display or is that standard?

Is "cats and dogs" a technical term for over .5" of rain, and do you see "buckets" when you hit 1"?

Pescador - 9-6-2014 at 04:47 PM

Russ, we came in to start the generator so that you did not get wet again. The road was fine, even though a little deep at the estuary.

mulegemichael - 9-6-2014 at 05:57 PM

russ; your constant reports are GREAT!....we'll be down this next week to clean up....thanks so much, mike and roz.

Russ - 9-6-2014 at 06:54 PM

That was silly to drive all the way out here. I really don't mind going over and running it for a few hours.

Showers started up again. Nothing heavy. Moderate wind to 15+

Russ - 9-7-2014 at 05:14 AM

Nice to sleep with the fan on low. I think Norbert is history and if it doesn't swing back in travel down the highway should be good. Now if the trmp would just stay below 85º I'd be really happy.

chivatojoe - 9-7-2014 at 07:40 AM

Sounds like all we got was a free plant watering. Always good to get that.
Any morning photo's ?
Hope for the cooler days here on out . Yesterday in Temecula it was 104 and this morning it feels like it's going in the same direction :(
