Simple rule of thumb conversion of knots to miles - 1.2 mph per knot.

LancairDriver is more accurate using 1.15 multiplier. 1.2 over states.

OR...
For us LFBs, rule of thumb.
1 knot equals 1 and 1/8 MPH
So for simple field use, for every 8 knots add 1 and you have the MPH.
32 knots then equals 36 MPH.
Close enough!
