Looks like the Playa Hermosa area of Bahia Santa Maria (ie. Baja Warrior's place). The sand has all washed away that used to be in front of those houses as the coastline moves. I feel very sad for the losses of the vacation homes and their beach.

Some of the houses built on the bay of Bahia Santa Maria had the same fate back in 1978 when the bay changed its shape and the sand disappeared from under some homes. The sand beach is dynamic, indeed!

Not to mention the sea level rise. :smug:

Bummer for those folks. When your 'on the water' you know your days are numbered. Just don't know how many.

Every high tide the sea level rises. Sometimes to the top of the beach and it spills over to the flats behind. I was just 3 miles from there a week ago... and the sea level is unchanged... or I couldn't get onto my 'island', which becomes a full island during those extreme tides! ;)
