Great one, thanks Chuck!

PS did you see the high tide video posted from near your place?

ehall - 9-10-2014 at 10:12 AM

That's great and pretty close to the truth.

I'll bet a lot of us have had similar conversations.

Oh Yea!

That pretty well nails it!

Who stole my story - is what I'd like to know...

Hey David, yes saw the video, it was passed around like a hot plate through our Campo.

This event is actually typical for a high tide and actually we were very fortunate there was not a wind event, because that would be a lot more damage.

The video was shot about 10 houses South of BajaRob's home and some of the walls and houses failed over two years ago from such and event.

I was told we got water on our patio and that's about it. I have side drains plus the front of the house is now "waterproof" as in there is no way for the water to even leak in anymore.

It's still the best place on earth for us, plus we don't actually stay in the front "beach house" but in our new (7 years old now) home on top of the garage all behind the original house. The "beach house" is more of a day use home now and morning coffee and happy hours are enjoyed on the unobstructed water view patio.

I feel sorry for a lot of my neighbors North of us, they're getting their butt kicked as far as damage go.

Thanks Chuck... Has anyone proposed placing a breakwater to stop or slow the sand movement from in front of the homes? Seems to help build up sand when they make a marina (La Salina and Santa Rosalillita come to mind)!

BajaWarrior - 9-10-2014 at 08:25 PM

PROFEPA won't allow it. What we need is sand, a lot of sand...

David K - 9-11-2014 at 10:16 AM

If only you could get the sand from that island/ sandbar that appears way out from Bahia Santa Maria at the lowest tides of the year!

There seems to be some benefit of being single. Can't seem to find the words. Wait, wait ....oh! no one to review my plans or my budget comes to mind.
Good, fun video.
Thanks
