Yesterday was just like the last 3 or 4 days here in La Mesa, 100 f and humid with thunder heads over the mtns but no rain for us to cool off. Then
around 1pm it got dark, wind gusts of 30-40mph and some welcome rain. It only lasted 20 minutes or so, but it toppled a huge tree a block from us and
we lost power for 5 hours. In 30 minutes the temp dropped 15 degrees.
We got a great sunset out of it too, almost a Baja sunset.

It was very isolated... at the same time it was clear and sunny... 100ºF in San Marcos (30 miles away)... dry as a bone. That was indeed a micro burst
and epic too.

Where I live, I got nothing, but 5 & 10 miles away got hammered. I didn't get a drop of rain at all.

We played in the big warm rain drops until the lightening started...kids loved it.
